Meet the Founders
Hello, we are Crystal and Hsuan, the masterminds behind the travel blog Blue Canoe Travel. We’re just two high school friends turned amateur wanderers, on a mission to show the world that Taiwan is more than just a dot on the map.
Our Story
Raised in Taiwan, we grew up with a front-row seat to the country’s breathtaking landscapes, vibrant culture, and mouth-watering delicacies. We took what Taiwan has to offer for granted and headed abroad for our dreams and careers.
Having studied in Japan, United Stated and Switzerland, Crystal and Hsuan has interacted, grew and learned from a variety of cultures. Not being able to stop moving, they have also visited more than 30 countries. While the world outside is exciting and filled with opportunities, our heart always go back to our home – Taiwan.
However, after years spent studying, working and traveling overseas, we noticed a glaring gap—Taiwan was hugely underrated by anyone who wasn’t a local.
And so, armed with curiosity and a trusty camera, we launched Blue Canoe Travel to share Taiwan’s hidden gems with the world. We want to share Taiwan as how we see it, not how the international media portrays it. We genuinely believe Taiwan has so much more to offer.
